Trump Shocker: ‘We’re Leaving Syria!’ Does He Mean It?

After a leak in the Wall Street Journal suggested a major reversal in US policy in Syria, President Trump confirmed in a Tweet this morning that the US was withdrawing from Syria. Starting immediately. Will the president follow through? What will the neocons do? Is there another false-flag danger? On today’s Ron Paul Liberty Report:

    1. Every time Trump seems to be making pro-peace moves (as opposed to the nine out of ten times he shits the bed), I support those moves and cheer him on, while keeping my optimism cautious.

      1. Check out the Breitbart comments section. 90% antiwar, and the pro-war people are getting crushed.

“Send the troops to the border.”
        “There’s your wall funding.”
“This is Trump negotiating for the wall. No wall? No war.”

Plus some warning we could be getting ready for direct war with Syria, wanting troops out of the way.

          1. No it’s not. Defending a country’s borders is EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE of war. Defending the borders is EXACTLY HOW TO PREVENT WAR.

          2. Stopping immigration isn’t “defending a country’s borders.” It’s attacking civilians and the trade/commerce they engage in. It’s not “exactly the opposite of war.” It IS war.

          3. Defending the borders from what ? Poor people looking for work due to our own foreign and economic policy ??

That means you’re defending your country from your own policies not other countries.

    2. Even a busted clock is right twice a day. But if Trump does go through with this, I’ll start the cheesy 80’s-movie slow-clap myself.

I love peace, regardless of who wages it. Merry Christmas friend.

    3. I will congratulate trump when the troops actually leave, and, air strikes end. Words ? No.

      1. Better add lifting the sanctions to that Dave, that’ll mean Goldman is shorting the Syrian coup effort.

  1. This is all nice and fine, and something to celebrate – but don’t celebrate too much. I still see a high risk of Trump getting us into a war with Iran. His cabinet is chock full of Iran hawks, and Trump himself has consistently taken a belligerent approach to Iran. It’s even possible that part of the reason for ending our wars in Syria/Afghanistan is to free up resources for a coming Iran war.

If Trump ends the current wars and avoids the Iran trap, he probably just won himself a second term. But I fear that’s a mighty big “if” at this point.

    1. You also have to remember special forces are no longer counted as “troops” and CIA operatives never were.
