Hillary Clinton Says Tulsi Gabbard Is a ‘Russian Asset’ Groomed To Ensure Trump Reelection

Hillary Clinton has never taken one iota of responsibility for losing the 2016 election. Instead, she blames Russia, WikiLeaks, John Brennan, Bernie Sanders, Jill Stein, etc. She is truly amazing (in a terrible way).

Today she warned about a major threat in the 2020 race: Rep. Tulsi Gabbard.

Appearing on the Campaign HQ podcast hosted by David Plouffe (Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign manager), she said:

“They are also going to do third party again,” Clinton said. “I’m not making any predictions, but I think they’ve got their eye on somebody who is currently in the Democratic primary and are grooming her to be the third-party candidate,” Clinton said, referring to Gabbard, without mentioning the Hawaii representative by name.

“She is a favorite of the Russians. They have a bunch of sites and bots and other ways of supporting her so far. That’s assuming Jill Stein will give it up, which she might not because she is also a Russian asset.

Following the podcast, Nick Merrill, a top aide to Clinton was asked to clarify his boss’s comments on whether she was speaking about Gabbard:

“If the nesting doll fits,” Merrill told a CNN reporter. “This is not some outlandish claim. This is reality. If the Russian propaganda machine, both their state media and their bot and troll operations, is backing a candidate aligned with their interests, that is just a reality, it is not speculation.”

Recently, Clinton said she had considered entering the 2020 race:

“Maybe there does need to be a rematch,” Clinton said. “Obviously, I can beat him again.

Gabbard later replied to Clinton, tweeting: “Great! Thank you @HillaryClinton. You, the queen of warmongers, embodiment of corruption, and personification of the rot that has sickened the Democratic Party for so long, have finally come out from behind the curtain. From the day I announced my candidacy, there has been a concerted campaign to destroy my reputation. We wondered who was behind it and why. Now we know — it was always you, through your proxies and powerful allies in the corporate media and war machine, afraid of the threat I pose. It’s now clear that this primary is between you and me. Don’t cowardly hide behind your proxies. Join the race directly.”

  1. 65 million American adults voted for her – and would gladly do so again. And as she herself doesn’t hesitate to trumpet, the most educated, progressive, enlightened, etc. voters at that. The sociopathic she-demon may disappear. The former won’t. When half the nation firmly (and viciously) believes that Russia attacked and subverted the U.S. the inevitable correlate of that lunacy is that the mightiest military force in history needs to retaliate.

    1. The same 65 million Americans will forget about it as fast as they forgot about hope and change once Obama was elected.

    2. Most of Hillary’s voters saw her as the lesser evil. Her hysterical rants accusing Trump, Gabbard and Jill Stein of being Russian assets should drive another nail into the coffin of the paranoid Russian conspiracy theories that Hillary and her minions have been pedaling to distract voters from the failure of their regime change wars.

      1. Nice try, but no. For the past three years I’ve challenged people to go to any online news site (except for Fox) and examine the readers’/viewers’ comments underneath either print or electronic stories having anything to do with Russia and related topics. The acute Russophobia – at wartime-type panic levels – is only growing in intensity and viciousness. We don’t address a crisis like this by downplaying or denying it.

        1. Trump got elected because voters are fed up with being lied to and having to choose between two liars beholden to the same crony capitalist elite. Unlike Trump, Tulsi will deliver on her anti regime change war commitment. Watch Tulsi’s numbers rise.
This morning her Google hits are now at 27.4 million and still rising! This may be the beginning of the Gabbard breakout. She will rise in the polls and surprise in New Hampshire and possibly in Iowa too!

          1. Yes, Hillary may have inadvertently given Tulsi some badly needed exposure. At this point, virtually any coverage of Tulsi, no matter how slanted or biased, may be to Tulsi’s advantage. The attempts to smear her are so obvious, almost a caricature of bias, that they actually work in her favor, particularly because she is able to keep her head and respond rationally yet with passion.

          2. Tulsi is a dedicated martial artist who practices mediation every day. I met her twice and her focus and clarity are awesome. This is likely her breakout moment. And Tulsi set it up. Now she has left the pack and is running against Hillary. The other candidates are supporting her and criticizing Clinton. And Tulsi set it all up in the 4th debate. First she attacked the warmongers in both parties and then in her closing she said the words she calculated would drive Clinton crazy “I don’t see deplorables. I see fellow Americans.”

Google searches for “Tulsi Gabbard” returned 6 million hits before the debate. Two days ago that was up to 14 million following her strong debate performance. Tonight she is getting 32.7 million hits and it is still rising.

The race for the Democratic nomination may now be between Tulsi and Hillary with the other candidates becoming wallpaper. That is what Tulsi is aiming for,

        2. Gotta agree with you here, its insane the amount of people who have bought into this Russian Hoax. Its much like the Iran is a major threat issue over on “the right”, doesn’t matter how much you point out the treason and undermining of the constitution by Dems/Repubs being the greatest threat to our nation you cant get them to shake their concern over Russia or Iran.

          1. Thanks. I’m 67-years-old and was raised during the very depth of the Cold War – with a last name of Rozoff yet – when hatred of all things Russian was all but a national religion. But let me tell you, this is far worse than the Cold War. Iran is nothing in comparison as 1) Americans are not subjected to hour-by-hour attacks on Persian culture, habits and personal characteristics as with Russia (also, Iranians being so-called “persons of color,” they can expect some support from the Western Left), and 2) Iran doesn’t have nuclear and strategic parity with the U.S. A war against Iran would be horrible; a war with Russia would be catastrophic.

      2. Remember Clintons approval rating was very low, I could not force myself, a life long Democrat, to vote for her. Russia did not influence me, just her history. She now sounds like Trump. How about discussing what the D.N.C. did to Sanders?

  2. We must never forget, that even moderate advocates of peace support racism, antisemitism, communism, fascism, Nazism, slavery, genocide, various flavors of dictatorship, famine, disease and just about any other negative thing under the sun. Those who eschew supporting aggressive warfare are the scum of the Earth.

      1. I am, of course, just being sarcastic.

About the “Borg” thing – “Borg” is actually a nickname I had in High School, and has nothing to do with “Star Trek – The Next Generation.” I was actually known as “The Borg” years before that show even existed. But is is quite fatiguing trying to assimilate everyone!

  3. Tulsi is the real antiwar candidate we have been waiting for since Ron Paul. And Hillary has given Tulsi a tremendous boost. Tulsi’s brilliant performance in the fourth debate bumped her Google hits from 6 million to 14 million early yesterday. Then Hillary called her a Russian asset and this morning Tulsi’s Google hit are at an all time high of 25.6 million. Now Tulsi can run against Hillary. Watch her poll numbers rise. Here are Tulsi’s comments at the debate:

  4. Tulsi’s Google hits are now at 26.7 million and still rising. God bless Hillary Clinton for giving Tulsi her breakout moment and exposing Clinton’s paranoid neocon fantasies about Russian intervention in the US elections. Here is Tulsi’s response to Clinton’s smears:

  5. Fun as Gabbard is, she has zero chance of being nominated, even if the vast majority of Democrats decide to back her personally, because the “Masters of the Universe” (to use Pepe Escobar’s phrase to refer to the people behind the parties and the government) won’t allow it.

OTOH, I said the same thing about Trump and I was wrong. But the difference there is that, according to Escobar, there were some of the “Masters” supporting him, whereas I don’t see anyone with power and influence supporting Gabbard.

What “Americans” want doesn’t matter any more, if it ever did.

  6. Of course speaking for the Deep State and her support of the neoconservative/liberal interventionist foreign policy and the neoliberal economic agenda, and angry with the fact she can no longer use her office to sell influence, Hillary attacks the only Democrat who has a sane foreign policy agenda. Who knows there might even be a bit of feminine envy by Hillary a fat, old bag, envying a young, beautiful, dynamic, intelligent woman.
