Col. Douglas Macgregor on Playing at War in Ukraine

Col. Douglas Macgregor appeared on Judge Andrew Napolitano’s show today. He said that Congress should signal its readiness to invoke the War Powers Act, while demanding that the Biden administration broker peace.

Very interesting interview, check it out:

  1. What war? On the one side it is a special military operation, on the other side we are giving some stuff to a sovereign country. No US troops are even in the country as I understand it.

    1. Not yet, but the 101st Airborne has already been deployed to Poland, so how about that, eh?

      1. So what? The 101st Airborne simply replaced the 82nd Airborne and no extra American troops were involved… (Operation Atlantic Resolve, Source : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/101st_Airborne_Division ). In due time the 101st Airborne will also be replaced. Colonel Macgregor is an intellectual fraud and when the 101th Airborne is eventually replaced he’ll talk about the appearance in Europe of the Division that will take over as a precursor to a direct intervention of US troops in the war in Ukraine. “So how about that, eh?” PS Also for your education : https://milmag.pl/en/new-rotation-of-soldiers-of-the-u-s-101st-airborne-division-in-poland/

    2. That we know of. We have troops next door, and, there have to be some Americans in Ukraine teaching the soldiers how to used their new toys.

        1. Instead of denying the truth, why don’t you just admit you were wrong. The 101st isn’t there to fight Romania, and you know that.

          1. Russia isn’t attacking Romania, that’s just U.S. propaganda. If you contest that, show me evidence that Russia is going to attack Romania.

The U.S. has been propping up Ukraine ever since the U.S. fomented the coup there in 2014. If it weren’t for the U.S., this war would never have happened.

  2. Oct 26 2022 Russia Army Hits Kharkov Ukraine Hard With Heavy Artillery

The Kharkov / Kharkiv Region is a very important area for Russia and despite losing control of most of the Region last month the battles for control rage on and Russia continues to hammer Ukrainian forces there with heavy artillery in an attempt to regain control of the area.

  3. For how many long months has MacGregor been predicting an imminent Russian victory? Speculative answer: for as many months as MacGregor has earned pelf and “creds” for his online prognostications, maybe? He might, indeed, be on the side of the angels. Meanwhile, I wait to verify. I do not trust. After all, his military past lies not on the side of the angels. That is his inescapable liability.

        1. So no, then.
And besides which, what sort of criticism am I supposed to have of an ad hominem attack? You know what that means, right? It’s actually Latin. Like your name.

          1. Jumpin’ the shark, Ted! Your asking these questions–and presumptively answering one of them–totally gives away your lameness. (Sigh!)

          2. My last word to you (unworthy as you are): You are clearly afflicted with a severe tic, here and in other threads: the word “troll”. Get help. Or at least get a Thesaurus. Or maybe read the story of the Three Billy Goats Gruff.

    1. Presumably the back channel has been used to inform the Russian regime that any attacks on US satellites will be responded to with elimination of the Baikonur Cosmodrome.

        1. Highly unlikely absent nuclear escalation.

One of the main — and valid — complaints about the US/NATO is that it maintains a global military presence. The US has a lot more military hardware within range of sensitive Russian institutions than vice versa.

Aside from which, the point of such a communication would be to signal “you don’t want to go there.” And if they are thinking about it at all, no, they won’t want to go there.

          1. Hitting KSC would be part of the escalation. And no, nobody in their right mind wants to go there but we’re talking about politicians.

Without googling it I expect Russian missiles are closer to KSC than US missiles are to Baikonur, which is out in BFistan somewhere. KSC is on the coast and I bet there’s a Russian boomer not too far away, not that a few minutes either way really matters. And everything’s in range.

  4. Macgregor doesn’t think that anyone in the White House is deranged enough to consider using nuclear weapons? He’s got to be kidding. There are a bunch of Dr. Strangeloves in high positions in the White House and the Pentagon. Same with the heads of Russia, Ukraine, and NATO.
