While I’d strongly prefer all large countries to be broken up into much smaller ones and that they all disband their militaries, in the context of the current reality Russia and China making a stronger alliance is a good thing. The U.S. has been marauding around the world with impunity ever since the Soviet Union disbanded, and the world needs some check on that. While I’d rather have no power at all than a balance of power, again considering the current reality, a balance of power is far superior to hegemony, by the U.S. or anyone else.
