  1. Disgraceful! America is toast if this is the example of citizens against war, any war. More people showed up on January 6, 2021 to ravage the White House. Totally disgraceful.

    1. I agree the turnout of low, but it’s got to start somewhere. And given the relentless propaganda and censorship (google actively censored the main youtube channel of the rally…), it’s amazing that we broke through to some clear-eyed Americans at all.

  2. This is what the beginning of protest looked like during war in Vietnam – not the boutique Left but people who saw through the deception against many of their friends better judgements.

  3. All wars are bankers wars. It is the control of the creation and allocation of money in the global banking system which is dedicated to maximizing profit. The money system is a private for-profit system that issues all money as debt which gives them control. I am disappointed that Dennis Kucinich didn’t mention the money system because he introduced a bill in 2011, the NEED Act 2990, that would 1. Require Congress to be the sole creator of all U.S. money debt-free; 2.End the privilege of commercial banks to create money. 3. Transfer all remaining operations of the Fed to the U.S. Treasury. Money is power which is why it should be public. Obviously we would have to elect a government dedicated to the public interest that would pass such legislation. Money is the governing factor! That should be obvious, its not he who owns the gold rules now, but he who controls the creation and allocation of the money rules. “..if you control the money you can control the world.” With money you can buy any tool of oppression and manipulation you want.

  4. One of the reasons the turn out is so low – i blame it on the musicians in America – Musicians and poets are supposed to be like a photographic expression of our times, giving voice to the people’s grievances, like most rock and folk bands during the Vietnam war had protest songs that brought people together – these days the majority of the rock musicians are wimps – singing about empty subjects, kissing the boots of the man in the big c ar! – we need some revolution rock to galvanize the masses!!

    1. Most of so-called “Left” are prowar and are perfectly fine with that senile geezer proclaiming that he plans to fund the war clear until the end of the year and if Putin is not pushed back to pre 2016 borders (are you kidding?) the war is not over even then.
There is money to be made and Democrats/Republicans love those side hustles that their relatives are always involved in.

  5. Google actively censored the rally – if you search by the rally by name, you get take to a website criticizing the rally. If you search for the channel on youtube by name, you get absolutely nothing unless you have the link from here. That is where we are now – where our own search engines actively censor views they do not like. I also wrote 3 separate comments for the NYTimes discussing the rally, of course they won’t even “approve” my comments. In fact, they published an editorial calling for “complete victory” in Ukraine. Some “free speech” rights we got here…

That being said, I loved all the speakers at the rally, so much love for everyone. Let’s put aside our differences left and right, because Peace is more important.

  6. It’s a start. More to follow I hope. Will be a tuff go in these times as the political class has the people so brow beaten and exhausted from the barrage of insanity that is being rammed down our throats and the dumbing down of our youth it’s hard to get anyone up and on the streets these days.
