US Warmongers Rule on Offense Budget Talks

A sign how America keeps descending into the madness of perpetual war on full display in the 24/7 coverage of Biden-McCarthy budget talks to avoid a financial meltdown.

Every dollar sliced from the budget comes from domestic spending, woefully inadequate before the cuts, to reinvigorate America’s declining living standard. But McCarthy gave Biden every one of the $886 billion he wanted to ramp up US proxy war on Russia, and push China into a possible nuclear confrontation over Taiwan. That’s not defense folks, so let’s call it what it is…offense, offense, offense. Some of that squandered dough will add to America’s 835 overseas bases with new ones is Finland, Syria and Iraq. That’s roughly 4 bases for each of the other 194 world countries.

But many GOP offense hawks howled for more, more, more offense. America’s premier warmonger, Sen. Lindsey Graham, was his usual apoplectic self on such an inadequate amount for his pet project, perpetual warfare. “The Biden defense budget was a joke before, and if we adopt it as Republicans, we will be doing a big disservice to the party of Ronald Reagan. The biggest winner of the Biden defense budget is China because they’ll have a bigger navy.” Graham failed to add that at $886 billion, the US offense budget is two and a half times that of arch enemies China and Russia combined.

The final ’24 US budget not yet in the can. But whatever the outcome, America’s wild overspending on maintaining its worldwide dominance, established at the end of WWII, ensures America’s continued descent into the ashcan of overextended, failed empires.

    1. Biden is who the establishment of the Democratic Party wanted after their first choice Kamala Harris proved that she can’t get anyone to vote for her. Not only wanted, but forced on everyone. (By 2020 Bernie Sanders had turned into total crap, so there wasn’t really any alternative in the party, but the establishment strongly opposed Sanders regardless.)

The rulers look for the most corruptible people to get into office to do their bidding. Harris would have been perfect for them, the ultimate “empty suit” who would gladly take orders from the establishment and ruling class. But Biden was easily corrupt enough, representing a state whose main function is to shield corporations from liability and to enhance banks’ and other lenders’ abilities to suck money out of people.

Don’t look to U.S. politicians or the corrupt & unrepresentative U.S. electoral system to help or fix anything, because they won’t. Substantial positive change will have to come from somewhere else.

      1. I totally oppose Harris but believe she is getting a raw deal over her inability to say “nothing” as most politicians are to do very well.
In fact if she does replace Joe we might see a different Harris but it would be a huge scandal if somehow she’s pushed away if he does more than a tumble over a sand bag.
He better drink his milk because those hips are not going to take too many more falls.

  1. You can’t vote against war and you can’t vote against Wall Street. This isn’t a problem with Lindsay Graham or Joe Biden, it’s a problem with the unrepresentative electoral system that limits us to just 2 war monger parties.
