Killing Everyone in Gaza? Question Asked and ‘Answered’

by | Feb 25, 2025

So lots of people are talking about the recent comments from Israeli’s deputy speaker about killing all the adults in Gaza. Not enough people, to my mind, and since the State Department doesn’t do daily press briefings where they could be asked about this anymore, I thought I’d reach out and get their take on the matter.

The Question:

The Deputy Speaker of the Israeli Knesset Nissim Vaturi has been quoted as advocating that every adult in the Gaza Strip should be exterminated. His comments to this effect were that the Gazans are “subhuman” and “not welcome anywhere.”
I’m interested if the United States has taken an official policy vis-a-vis slaughter the remaining adults in the Gaza Strip, and whether such killing would fit into President Trump’s “Riviera of the Middle East” plan.

I wasn’t expecting to hear back quickly, hoping that a lot of people are asking them about this. In practice, it probably doesn’t come up that often, because I got a response surprisingly fast.

The “Answer”

You may attribute the following on background to a State Department spokesperson.
The President has also been very bold about his view of what the future for Gaza should be – not the same tired ideas of the past but something that’s bold and something that frankly took courage and vision in order to outline.  What cannot continue is the same cycle over and over again that winds up in the exact same place.

So if you were wondering on what the position of the US State Department is on killing every adult in the Gaza Strip (several hundred thousand people at least) for being “subhuman,” the answer is that President Trump has courage and vision.
Reassuring? Probably not, but there it is.
