Antiwar.com Receives Serena Shim Journalism Award

We are proud to announce that Antiwar.com has received the Serena Shim Award for Uncompromised Integrity in Journalism.

The award is given to "non-mainstream journalists who continue to tell challenging truths in difficult times." As explained at the SerenaShimAward website, the award is named after the courageous Lebanese American journalist from Detroit who reported how Turkey and the West were training and arming extremist fighters who were entering Syria hidden in aid trucks. In October 2014 she died in southern Turkey under very suspicious circumstances. She was 29.

In giving the award, the organizers noted "The Antiwar team publishes news reports, analyses, radio interviews and videos. They are consistently reliable and accurate. From Yugoslavia in the 1990’s to Ukraine today, Antiwar.com is a vital voice seeking truth and clarity in the fog of war and propaganda."

  1. The Serena Shim Award is an award that Antiwar.com deserves. The MSM deserves a scarlet letter for spreading fake news, fear and paranoia.
The US & many of its allies should be exposed. A lot of people are kept in the dark about what really goes on. Many people say you are anti American for telling the truth which they call lies.

Congratulation Antiwar.com….! Since I discovered Antiwar, there is no turning back as 90% of US media, being it main or independent, do not report the complete factual events…!

  3. Thank you Antiwar for your good works, and to Serana Shim, and the many journalists like her over the years, exposing the truth, especially about who and how these conflicts are fomented. In her case, all I knew was reading some small blurb in an AP wire about a journalist in Turkey killed, without the other details about what she uncovered.
If more people knew these truths, we could pressure and call out our leaders who foment this
