Obama’s War Crimes in Pakistan

So far the empire’s new war in Pakistan has accomplished, well… nothing good.

They aren’t even pretending to hunt for bin Laden and Zawahiri as part of the excuse for demanding the Pakistani army invade the North-Western territories of the country, so far they have completely failed to find the “Taliban” leaders they claim to be trying to get, but instead have succeeded only in created a living nightmare for over 3 million refugees and counting.

At least it won’t be hard to find excuses for the next intervention…

  1. I have big reservations about using the drones and the killing of so many innocent people but, to say we are doing nothing, and having no impact on AQ, is not really true.

“WASHINGTON: US missiles from unmanned drones have eliminated about half of 20 “high-value” al-Qaeda and other extremist targets along Pakistan’s border with Afghanistan,.. ”

    1. You can’t be serious. The article you cite points to – of all things – The Washington Post as the source of the claim you make! Now while the Washington Post can’t be guaranteed always to cough up suspiciously colored system sputum, you’ve got about a 98% chance that it will do so with any given article. That notwithstanding, the loss of one innocent life to these drones, just one little Pakistani child, nullifies every pretense at morality usually accorded the cowardly use of these devices by officialdom. So, no, all of the fantasied elimination of “high value” targets, even if it were to be believed, is no more an indication of progress than the slaughter of 3000 innocents in New York was in 2001. Progress is peace, sir.

      1. Not to mention that for every “high value” (just what the hell does THAT mean?) Al Qaieda “target” killed, anywhere from one to one thousand or more “high value replacements” will emerge in their place and carry on with their predecessor’s “acts of terror” at ever-escalating levels.

    2. “…but, to say we are doing nothing, and having no impact on AQ, is not really true.”

You are right, Russ. The actions of our government masters are great recruiting tools for all sorts of terrorists.

    3. Just because Genl. Ignorance says they’ve eliminated X no. of “high-value Al-Qaeda members,” doesn’t mean they have. What’s a “high-value al-Qaeda member,” anyway? Someone bring the livestock in to feed them?

Be skeptical of *everything* (including me) and certainly of anything from an “official spokesman.” One of the Cockburn brothers said once to never believe anything ’til it’s been officially denied; that’s an interesting idea.

    1. Right on! but what’s a little blowback between friends ever amounted to anyway?

  2. Hypocracy rules!

The US,and the West demanad that the victims of their violence not to use violence against their tormenters and abusers. The powerful have always used violence to achieve its objectives while as always the vicitms of that violence on the evil of violence.

  3. correction!

The US,and the West demanad that the victims of their violence not to use violence against their tormenters and abusers. The powerful have always used violence to achieve its objectives while as always lecturing the vicitms of that violence on the evil of violence.

  4. Assassin in Chief won the American sheeple over, people are different, they think.

  5. The Messiah is not capable of war crimes.

    Obama bombs aren’t really bombs.

    They are droppings from heaven.

  6. well, judging by the unanimous contempt for the O-bomb-ya, at the very least, the intent to create more people on a global scale that are pissed off enough to be framed as ‘patsies’ for any ‘false flag’ attacks that O-Bomb-ya pulls off to justify a war on Iran, just goes to show how enlightened the population is to the AL-CIA-DA assistance to the Military Industrial Complex in the U.S. and Britain, towrad the goal of continued world wide hegemonic wars of aggession to justify oil and resource grabs by the U.S. and Britain.

I like the “they are dropping from heaven” comment above this one. In actuality, they’re really dropping from dominionist, crusading jack-asses wearing U.S. air farce collar devices, and a few pukes who are piloting the drones and striking with Hellfire’s from those.

These are war crimes. Against all in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and yes, Africa now. These must be punished in the Hague someday. truly they must. It’s time to bring charges against the entire U.S. government in the Hague, and try them in absentia, convict them, and issue warrants for their arrests worldwide. Someone must extradite them for their sentences to be carried out.

    1. Well, the men responsible for the Armenian Massacres never stood trial anywhere, but many of them were assassinated by survivors. I suppose that would be called “terrorism” nowadays.

  7. Nothing we do can have any impact on AlQaeda because the organization exists only in the imagination of warmongers.

  8. Look on the bright side. Think of all those jobs we’re saving. People making drones. People flying drones from their cubicles. Hey, someone has to build those Hellfire missiles, right? And with all the evil ragheads we are pissing off, it means lots of jobs for TSA goons, CIA spies, and NSA wiretappers.

Who said Obama wasn’t creating jobs?

    1. Just so long as the big money keeps flowing in, the military-industrial-congressional complex is happy. The USSR was an easier sell to the American sheeple then “the war on terror”, but they are getting by with it just fine now.

  9. They label an individual,a group,an organization,a pharmaceutical plant as owned by,or whole people and nation as terrorist then they send missiles flying half way around the world, bomb them, invade them ,destroy their countries and lives and killing scores of civilians who have done nothing to deserve to be murdered for! They pronounce judgement, and carry the sentencing in the blink of an eye! This school or house is being used by the Talibans,or terrorists then bombs away!
Killing by the powerful is called war or retaliation ,killing by the weak is called terrorism.

  10. Obama and his Neocons have learned to use the armies of other countries to advance the war agenda. We do not have enough troops to taken on North Korea, Pakistan, Iraq, Afghanistan and various other “rogue” states with possible future threats to the US, so we pay mercenaries and govts. to use their own armies for our goals. Of course, that only works as long as the money keeps rolling in or a better payer comes along. We did so well with that idea in Afghanistan and then walked away leaving all those well paid, well armed revolutionaries to turn their anger and skills on us. I am sure that will play out the same this time with even worse consequences.

  11. When will America get over 9/11? Watching Obama in Cairo giving his speech, you could see the emotion (almost hysteria) when he spoke of 9/11 – “they killed 3,000 American!”. Who did? Afghanistan? Pakistan, The Taliban? The Al Qaeda? Actually, if we allow ourselves to believe the official fairytale, it was 19 guys, all of whom died in the act. This was it – one incident that launched a multi-trillion dollar, inhumane, punishment for the whole Muslim world. A never ending “War on Terror”
As one citizen, I don’t need all of this waste and killing in my name. I don’t need “to feel safe”. I want to feel like a part of a thinking, reasonable country. I want to see Bush, Cheney, the whole bunch, hung like the war criminals they are.

  12. The Iraqis lost over 500,000 of their children to the brutal sanctions imposed and enforced by the US.

  13. Lear K, and Saddam Hussein and his henchmen who were living in the lap of luxury and stealing from the oil for food program during that time, they had nothing to do with the deaths of those 500,000 Iraqi children?

    1. As usual another strawman argument from you. How many Palestinian and Lebanese children have been kiled by the Israeli armed forces?

    2. It is well known fact that 500,000 Iraqi children as a direct result of the US and UK enforced UN sanctions.Sadam and his henchmen had no control over where the oil for food money goes,or how it is spent. That notion had long been disproven as the WMDs myth, and the Sadam 9/11 or Al-Qadea connection. But you will never give up that fantcy no matter what!

  14. Richard Vajs,

When will America “get over” 9/11? Never! I will never get over 9/11! I was there buddy. I saw those towers come down with my own eyes. I smelled the acrid smoke, I feared for my life. No Sir, I will NEVER get over it! And yes, you are damn right that I hold the radical Jihadists responsible. The Muslim world has been fomenting terror for many years and all the 19 of them were radical Muslims and you are damn right that I hold them responsible. You want to see Bush and Chenney hung? You have more hatred for Bush and Cheney than you do for the radical Muslim terrorists that incinerated our fellow Americans. My best friend lost his first cousin, a guy who was only in his early 20’s and worked for Cantor Fitzgerald way up on one of the top floors, I suppose you will tell my best friend and his family to “get over it” too? Shame on you for saying get over it. If you were there that day or someone you knew got killed I wonder if you would be so flippant about it.

    1. And what exactly did Iraq have to do with any of this? That was Bush/Cheney’s big move, attacking an innocent country where many, many multiples of 3,000 people were killed.
