Let All Opposed to War Praise Trump’s ‘Treasonous’ Tweet

When President Obama expelled Russian diplomats over the hysterical and unproven accusation of "hacking the election" on December 29, Russian President Vladimir Putin refused to be drawn into a petty squabble, saying he would delay any response until Donald Trump assumed office. Instead Putin’s response was to issue an invitation to American diplomats and their families in Moscow to join the official holiday celebrations in the Kremlin.

Then came the shock from President Elect Trump, in the form of a tweet (what else) heard round the world that read:

"Great move on delay (by V. Putin) – I always knew he was very smart!"

And to be sure that everyone saw it, Trump "pinned" the tweet which means it is the first thing seen by viewers of his account. This was a first use of "pinning" for Trump. And to be doubly sure, he posted it on Instagram as well. This was no spontaneous midnight outburst but a very deliberate action taken on Friday noon, December 30.

Ron Paul on Facts or Fakes: Can We Trust The Washington Post?

In November the Washington Post printed an article accusing some 200 independent media organizations of being “fake news” sites doing the bidding of the Kremlin. Their evidence? They had none, so very soon they were forced to walk back the story. On Friday they breathlessly reported that the Russians had hacked our energy grid, but it soon turned out they didn’t bother to actually contact the company they reported hacked. It wasn’t hacked. They had to walk back the story. Yes their credibility is shot, but they still churn out a steady stream of propaganda. What to do about their disintegrating credibility? Convince the US government that they should be in charge of vetting what is is fake news versus real news. It can’t happen here? Tune in to today’s Ron Paul Liberty Report:

WAPO Admits: Russia Didn’t Hack US Electrical Grid

It took a few days to get there, but the Washington Post has finally made the circuitous voyage from a headline declaring “Russian operation hacked a Vermont utility, showing risk to U.S. electrical security, officials say” to finally arriving at “Russian government hackers do not appear to have targeted Vermont utility, say people close to investigation.”

One big thing you’ll notice about the second headline is that it’s not really a story in and of itself. Russia not hacking the US electric grid would not, on its own, be even a low level story in a newspaper, because every single day of history Russia has managed to not hack Vermont and not bring down the nation’s electrical grid.

We Are Still Alive (Non-Hacked Russian Stooge and Terrorism Edition)

This is a version of last year’s January 1 article, updated to reflect the new fears of the World’s Most Frightened Nation.

I survived. America, and the world, and you, survived. We awoke the first day of 2017 to find that once again, using the extraordinary power of fear, we again held off the terrorists. And Putin. And Trump, nationalists, racists, hackers, alt-Right fascists, CNN, persons of all colors, genders, shapes, sizes, and goddamn religions.

Fear Classic: Terrorism

Hard as it is to persuade a constantly re-frightened American public, there have been less than 100 Americans killed inside the Homeland by so-called Islamic terrorism since 9/11.

Ban Trump, Twitter, and Free Speech

In the through-the-mirror world we now live in, people who once unambiguously supported free speech now are finding plenty of things they want censored.

Chief among those opposing ideas they want silenced are Donald Trump’s. His remarks – from the silly, labeled unpresidential, to the more extreme labeled racist/sexist/misogynist/hateful – have attracted a surprising group of otherwise intelligent people demanding he be shut up.
